FELTING CLUB – Join us for this very casual club, meeting to explore different felting techniques with fiber and embellishments. Or just drop by to observe. Be warned, felting is habit forming! Call the shop for more information on materials. Dates & Times: Saturday, September 17, all day.

SOCK CLINIC – Learn how to sock your needles, the traditional way with double point needles, the magic loop way, or the two circular needle method. Toe up or top down, one or two at a time. You choose the method you'd like to learn, and choose two of the dates on which to learn it! This flexible, two-part class covers the basics of how to make socks - YOUR WAY. Class Fee: $35, includes pattern. This Saturday class will be held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month, from 10:30am-12:30pm.

SPINNING CLINIC - Whether you want to spin with a wheel or spindle, this choose-any-two-sessions class is everything you'll need to get started. Cover the basics of hand spinning: cards, combs, skeining, basic plying, spinning wheel operation and maintenance in two 3-hour sessions. Various sheep breeds will be discussed as well as spinning vocabulary. Bring your own wheel, if it is in good working order, with extra bobbins, or you can borrow one during the class at the shop. Want to start with the drop spindle instead? Drop spindles have been around longer than spinning wheels, are portable and there are still places in the world where the spindle is the only tool used to make yarn. Learn about spindling on different types of spindles, skeining and ball winding. Whether wheel or spindle: Bring notebook, pencil, and if you have them cards, combs, flick carder, Lazy Kate, niddy noddy, and nostepinne. Class fee: $88 (Greensleeves Spindles are available at the shop starting at $18; $8 lab fee included). This Saturday class will be held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month (October will be 2nd and 3rd Saturdays), from from 1-4pm.
